- You Wouldn't Want to be a Roman Gladiator is a fun site that follows the fate of a Gaul captured by Roman soldiers, sold as a slave and trained as a gladiator.
- Roman Gladiatorial Games is not as fun, but has lots of good information
- This BBC site is also pretty good, and has a cool game to play (dress your gladiator correctly to help him win in the arena).
- Finally have a look at the Cambridge Site to do some vocab revision and grammar games.

My Year 8's are doing the same. Today I placed a revision video on YouTube for them. I will post the next two over the next week.
I'm sure your students will be able to work out the meaning of the various symbols. Great to see that Latin is alive and well on the web. Love your blog.

thanks for your comment- sadly i haven't been able to watch your video as you tube is blocked on all my school's computers. i hope some of my kids will be able to access it from home though.
Thought this might interest you.
You may or may not have heard about the penguin that got knighted. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with Latin BUT it's just as awesome.
Hope the site isn't blocked:

Way to block students from LEARNING, st george. Clearly not as cool as the school where Mr Anonymous works.
Guess what Joel, James does law and he always asks me about the Latin words and usually I can tell him things! Plus I told him how to say "veni, vidi, vici" (except I think he forgot). So I did learn something after all.
